UFC Announces Major TV Deal in Japan
From UFC.com:
...UFC will return to television in Japan with a new two-year deal with WOWOW.
WOWOW will telecast all UFC pay-per-view events starting with UFC 89: BISPING vs. LEBEN taking place live from National Indoor Arena in Birmingham, UK. The UFC 89 live card will begin at 8pm GMT in England and will telecast on WOWOW following a short delay at 12 Midnight JST.
“The Japanese market has always been important to the UFC, and we want to bring MMA and all of its biggest stars back to Japan,” said Dana White, UFC President. “We are thrilled to be back with WOWOW.”
Looks like the UFC is on its way to world domination. Taking over Japan through TVs, and getting ready to storm the Philippines with Vera and Liddell.

I'm interested to see what will happen with the marketing now that the promotion is catering to the Japanese fans again. Japanese fans are nothing if not loyal and fanatical, and that's never bad for this sport. Maybe Dana White will be able to draw in some more quality Japanese fighters with this. It's a stretch, but it could happen.

From now on, I think the UFC and all UFC-related blogs, etc. need to check on here to make sure I haven't posted an article on something, so in case I have they can't post anything contradicting it for at least 20 minutes.
