Rich Franklin vs Dan Henderson Possible for UFC 93

Former UFC middleweight champion Rich Franklin (24-3 MMA, 11-2 UFC) could meet former PRIDE title-holder Dan Henderson (23-7 MMA, 3-2 UFC) at a UFC event tentatively scheduled for Jan. 17 at The 02 in Dublin, Ireland.
Sources close to both fighters told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) that the Franklin-Henderson fight has been discussed as a possibility for the fight card, though bout agreements have not been distributed.
The tentatively scheduled event was first reported by Yahoo! Sport UK & Ireland earlier today.
That report stated that Franklin could meet Chuck Liddell or Mauricio "Shogun" Rua in the event's headline bout. But sources close to the fighters said that a Franklin-Henderson fight may be the most likely option.
The sources were not sure if this would be at 185 or 205. I would have to guess, with Henderson as a possible coach on TUF against Bisping, that the fight would be at 205. This would definitely be an all-out slugfest.
This card is also rumored to feature the grudge match between Matt Hughes and Matt Serra. If this match happens then the card could be a ratings goldmine.
UFC 93 would be very effective counterprogramming against the rumored Jan. 17th Affliction show. A free UFC PPV-quality show would kill any potential buy rates for an Affliction PPV card.

I've also read reports that Affliction may be aiming for Jan. 24 which would put it squarely between UFC 92 and UFC 93. One has to ask if MMA fans will shell out money for three consecutive PPV cards, and if they don't, which ones will they be willing to pay for?
I look for UFC to hold off
I look for UFC to hold off an announcement until Affliction is announced and then offer the Ireland show for free on Spike. If they could kill this show's ppv buys, I would say that Affliction would be dead and bloated.

Too bad because then there really will be no competition in MMA. Although De La Hoya was on CNN and was talking up the Affliction-Golden Boy merger (and having boxing and mma bouts on the same card). But unless they do something big Affliction will die, EliteXc will die soon, and Dana will be KING! And then fighters will still be under paid, Fedor will be fighting sumo wrestlers in Japan, and great fighters like Barnett, Arlovski, and Babalu will be fighting on these little rinky dink shows because Dana's a mafia don! Oh well at least then Kimbo will be back on Youtube!

If Henderson is going to coach on TUF against Bisping then he would be fighting at 185 not 205. I am really looking forward to this fight what a war this will be no matter what weight they fight at.

Hopefully this is at 205 because if Franklin beats Hendo at 185 than he'd be sitting at the #2 spot again at 185 and we know the UFC won't do Franklin Silva 3.

But I hate to see Hendo bouncing back and forth between 185 & 205. I think we see him at his best if he chooses on weight and sticks with it. I still want to see him fight Silva again.
