190 pounds: Keith “KO Kid’’ Berry vs. Ray Lizama
Notes: A back-and-forth entertaining bout between two men intent on working on their feet...In the first round, Lizama staggered Berry early on but Berry came back with a knockdown of his own towards the end of the round and went for a rear naked choke that he couldn't finish...10-9 Berry in the first round...In the second round, Berry scored early in the round with a punch, but Lizama responded with a barrage of combinations against the cage that all did heavy damage...Berry somehow survived and even managed to put up his own flurry before Lizama came back with and mixed it up with shots to Berry's body...Berry finally had enough as one last body punch floored him...
Result: Lizama wins by TKO (strikes) at 2:25 of Round 2.
Women's 130 pounds: Debi Purcell vs. Rosi Sexton
Notes: Most of the first round was spent in the clinch...Sexton attempted a takedown but Purcell defended well...10-9 Sexton...Sexton finally scored a takedown in the second and worked some ground-and-pound from the guard before Purcell pushed her off...Purcell ended the second round with a trip takedown of her own...10-9 Sexton...In the third round, Purcell scored with a spinning backfist and also countered a Sexton superwoman punch...However, Sexton scored with a whizzer and failed in her attempt at a cartwheel guard pass...10-9 Sexton...All three rounds were close...
Result: Sexton wins by split decision (30-27, 28-29, 30-27).
Light heavyweight: Cyrille “The Snake” Diabate vs, Jaime Fletcher
Notes: Diabate was by far the more experienced fighter with PRIDE experience but he was also 7 inches taller than Fletcher, cutting an almost-Xerces-esque figure in the cage...Diabate scored with knees, kicks, and fists late in the first round while Fletcher scored a takedown and attempted a heel hook as the round ended...10-9 Diabate...In the second round, Fletcher scored two takedowns and attempted guillotines both times...Both times Diabate reversed and ended up in side mount...Second time Fletcher turtled up and Diabate scored with elbows to the body...10-9 Diabate...In the third round, Diabate scored with more fists and kicks...Fletcher attempted a guillotine but lost it on the ground and Diabate worked from full guard...Again Fletcher turtled up and Diabate threw more elbows to the body as the fight ended...10-9 Diabate...Diabate called out EliteXC light heavyweight Rafael Feijao after the fight...
Result: Diabate wins by unanimous decision (30-27 on all three cards).
160 pounds: Fabricio “Morango” Camoes vs. Sam “The Squeeze” Morgan
Notes: This was a quick one...Morgan started out with three inside leg kicks and then went for a guillotine...Camoes slammed Morgan, went straight to mount, and Morgan rolled over...Camoes secured a rear naked choke and Morgan tapped...
Result: Camoes wins by tapout due to rear naked choke at 0:47 of Round 1.
Light Heavyweight: Po’ai Suganuma vs. Jared Hamman
Notes: Rematch of first fight that ended in slight controversy in favor of Suganuma...Suganuma was on the offensive early...He landed with some punches and ended up on top twice on the ground and worked some ground-and-pound...Hamman scored with a whizzer takedown of his own...Standing, Hamman rocked Suganuma with a right and then a left that had Suganuma on his knees...Hamman worked both sides of Suganuma's body, further crumpling Suganuma before hammer-fisting away to finally end the bout...A rubber match anyone?
Result: Hamman wins by TKO (strikes) at 2:34 of Round 1.

I noticed that too... EliteXC and other promotions still use UFC "experience" to legitimize their talent... That speaks volumes...
That's funny because while
That's funny because while they love to use that "UFC" connection when it comes to their fighters they always make sure you know they are nothing like the big organization. They do all the little things to make their sure so much different than what UFC produces but have no problems what so ever making sure the fans know that their fighters are UFC veterans.
