Report: Pregnant woman hit by Quinton Jackson miscarries
DailyPilot.com is reporting that a 38-year-old woman whose car was sideswapped by former UFC light heavyweight champ Quinton Jackson's truck during his July 15 Southern California hit-and-run spree has suffered a miscarriage.
Holly Griggs, the woman in question, was 16 weeks pregnant when she miscarried. According to the report, doctors were concerned about fluid loss in Griggs' womb after she was sent to the hospital following the July 15 incident. Griggs and her fiance do have a lawyer but have not pressed any charges as of now.
Jackson is currently out on bail and has not yet been formally charged by prosecutors in the case as they continue to investigate the situation.

There are a lot of reasons
There are a lot of reasons for a miscarriage, but it would be hard not to ignore the obvious here. I hope there is no Civil Suit for Rampage's and the families sake... to keep re-living the tradgedy of losing your child for purely monetary gain would not be good imo. However I do hope there are serious criminal charges against him. Being an expectant father, I know that if my wife mis-carried our baby and was involved in this situation, I would not be satisfied seeing him out and about making appearances and even fighting any time soon - that would cause me to file civil suit if I saw that the UFC already had him scheduled to fight inside of a year or two. I would want to know that at the very least he was in some sort of mental hospital or jail for an extended period of time until doctors were totally satisfied that whatever caused this to happen would not ever happen again.
He took someones life... this totally changs the stakes.
Good analysis from Steve
Good analysis from Steve Cofield. Says Rampage could face second-degree murder:

I hope this isn't just some
I hope this isn't just some trumped up media coverage... At the age of 38 the expectant mother is considered a geriatric pregnancy. A miscarriage at her age is a very high percentile. Now don't get me wrong, I'm a father of 2 with a 3rd due in less than 2 months and couldn't Imagen the pain of loosing a child. But if all that happened was a side swipe and she lost her mirror it's unlikely that sort of accident would have caused a miscarriage.. It just sounds like a $h*tty set of circumstances.. I fear that Rampages Rampage will be his undoing.
It sounds like she had a
It sounds like she had a scheduled-exam right before the accident and due to the accident they took her in. According to the article the baby's fluid significantly dropped within that timeframe. It's impossible to know exactly what caused it, but it certainly raises the stakes of everything. I'm no doctor but if you already have a 'high risk' pregnancy and something like this happens... it's hard not to look at the impact this type of stress could have on the baby and draw a conclusion that this had SOME role to play in the loss of the baby.
I guess more information
I guess more information would be handy. A side swipe can mean so many things. There's a difference between getting clipped and getting swiped so hard that it spins your vehicle around and into the center divider. Is there any info floating around the web as to the extent in which Rampage hit this poor lady?
For the record tho, I've never heard the line used (she “had enough fluid for three babies,” ).And with the amount of time I've spent at the obgyn with the wife in the past 5 years, plus the fact non of our friends seem to know what prophylactics are for makes me a baby expert. (Kinda, sorta, not really)
What really sucks is that she probably would have received the same news regardless of whether or not she got hit. There's not a jury in the world that wont convict a black sports star in this case.... it sucks to be Rampage right now.
Agreed on all fronts
Agreed on all fronts Danthemman. Sadly though, it cannot be ignored that his crazy behavior DID contribute in some way... to what extent, who knows. But it did contribute...
Oh man, this is some serious
Oh man, this is some serious bad times. Whats worse emotionally/legally/religiously than killing a baby intentionally or not? Quinton is a father himself so this must be pretty hard to swallow for him, and I'm not going to even mention how hard this must be for the victim(s).
Ugh, this whole mess is one of the worst messes I've heard of in a long time.
It is a real shame that this
It is a real shame that this murderer Quinton Jackson got away so easily and now can continue his monkey dance, while his victims suffer.
