David Loiseau to Return at UFC 97
By Bryan Levick, FightTicker.com blogger
MMAJunkie.com is reporting that former UFC middleweight contender David "The Crow" Loiseau will be making his return to the octagon when he faces former TUF contestant and season 3 runner-up Ed Herman. Loiseau's last venture in the octagon came in September of 2006 when he suffered a unanimous decision loss to Mike Swick. According to MMAJunkie.com:
Popular Canadian fighter David Loiseau (18-8 MMA, 4-3 UFC) will return to the Ultimate Fighting Championship for the first time in two-and-a-half years after after agreeing to a new contract with the organization.
A source close to Loiseau today told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) that the fighter has accepted a UFC 97 bout with Ed Herman (14-7 MMA, 3-4 UFC), though the fight is not signed and could still fall through.
Although not officially announced, UFC 97 is expected to take place April 18 in Loiseau's home of Montreal, Canada.
This is great news for UFC fans. If Loiseau is back to his previous form we can expect to see some exciting fights. The middleweight division needs a shot in the arm and if you add this acquisition to the signing of Pride veteran Denis Kang -- who makes his debut at UFC 93 next week -- things are looking much better for the once-maligned weight class.
This fight could be a make or break fight for Herman, who is coming off two consecutive losses and is 3-4 in the UFC overall.

The Crow returns! Always
The Crow returns! Always liked David even though he trains with GSP. Devestating elbows but he never appeared the same after that Franklin fight.
Wardog
And Caesar's spirit, ranging for revenge,
With Ate by his side come hot from hell,
Shall in these confines with a monarch's voice
Cry 'Havoc,' and let slip the dogs of war;
Yes! I love the crow.
Yes! I love the crow.
