If I had the opportunity I would kick phoenix and king in the nuts, yes but not shields. I think he is a good fighter. He has won against good opponents but I dont think he belongs at #3.

Hughes said it about GSP's first fight with Penn I think. It was Hughes first and then GSP said it in the octagon after Hughes win. Then went on to take the belt from Hughes and then make him verbally tap out. So we Canadians know what we are talking about.

We are both very similar in that we like to joke around a lot but you made a great point it doesn't matter how fast or slow you win all that matters is that you were victorious. Hell it took Serra over 3 minutes to make GSP tap and then it took GSP almost 2 full rounds to beat Serra but does that make Serra a better fighter?

See, you guys just focus on one point. What I am saying is for Shields to be the #3 on OUR rankings I expected more from him than he showed in this fight. His stand up was suspect and when he took him to the ground it took him a very long time to finish him. For Shields to be a ground specialist and Daley looking as bad as he did on the ground then it should have been over well before it was. Obviously you guys are never going to see what I am saying so I am not going to continue with this. In your minds Shields had the perfect match and no matter what anyone else says you will not see anything else.

This is the last statement
This is the last statement on this from me as it is getting old and I am sure no one else wants to see us arguing any longer. I never said Shields had the perfect match what I said was he did enough to secure the victory. That's it nothing more nothing less. He beat a guy who he should have beaten and when people look back at it in the record books all they will see is Shields defeated Daley via armbar round 2. He has looked better in his previous fights he beat a good Nick Thomson with a sick guillotine in like a minute.

i never said shields was perfect in the fight. he shouldn't have gone for the armbar in the first. he won.
you keep saying shields standup is suspect and bad and other adjectives to describe his standup. if his bad mediocre standup is enough to beat daley, who is a great striker, then the only way is up for shields. he passed the test on holding his own on the feet. there will be more fights to see if he improves. this is just one fight. and rankings aren't based on one fight, it's over the fighters career. and if rankings were just based on one fight houston alexander would have been number one lightheavywieght in the world. shields can only improve and learn from his last fight, impressive or not. he wins, for me it lets him keep being fightticker.com's number 3 ww. he didn't lose. he won. he FINISHED the fight. he made him tapout. there's always something to complain about but there's not need. people complain about fighters not finishing fights. jake finished his last 2 fights. now he has to do it round one and beat everyone cake walk style to keep his ranking?

my last statement is why cant someone not be impressed by this fight? I was stating my opinion and I stand by it. I have given my arguments as to why I didnt think he showed very well and as to why he should not be #3 on our rankings. 'People need to quickly end all this discussion about Kimbo and Petruzelli. Just because he was able to land a couple of featherweight punches on Kimbo, doesn't make him a superstar. It was a terrible fight stoppage. Kimbo didn't even feel those punches. I'm disgusted with the whole situation. Also, just because Kimbo lost one little fight, that doesn't mean he's all washed up or isn't a brawler. When Randy Couture was knocked out twice by the Iceman did you say he was all washed up?
