lol. I saw that. Well, I can't blame him. He's clearly going to get more pub writing for Junkie...right now. But, he's been a great contributor here and I have no doubt he'll continue to write for the site.
This little new site is just going to keep plugging along.
is it just me or is doc benjamin in those USA football commercials where old people say "i played" and they're holding a football. NFL network runs those commercials...

Dr. Benjamin has informed me that he will continue writing for this site. He's told me he's only writing for Junkie and for Ticker. I can't argue with that kind of company.
Mostly, I'm happy for the members of the site. He brings a lot of medical expertise to the table.
I've seen Dr. Benjamin a couple of times on Inside MMA on HDnet. Well their online broadcast actually (I don't get HDnet) . He's very interesting and certainly brings an edge to any MMA media outlet lucky enough to procure his services.
i wonder what dr benjamin can say about this wrestling technique...it looks a little dangerous to me. i mean, if kids start applying this to their own wrestling, people will go anal...
Ya I saw Dr Benjamin on Inside MMA the other night and he gave a shout-out to Fight Ticker! Niiice.
Oh sweet. He mentioned that he was going to do that. Pretty cool of him. Was it the most recent episode? I think that's been posted online. Let me look for it.
BTW - Phoenix, I beleive the official term for that manuever is, 'Oil Check'. Not cool. I had that happen to me in a tourney once... quite uncomfortable to look up at the ref and say... "he's putting his finger..." Again... NOT COOL.

I don't have HDNet either and it's killing me...
It was the most recent one where he was the guest... I think it was two episodes ago. Most recent one had Amir Sodollah as the guest.... not too bad either. I just wish ZUFFA would ease up a bit and give them some clips to show as a highlight. They don't even allow them to show anything that says, 'UFC' much less any highlights.
BTW - DO NOT GET DIRECT TV. HDNet is great... TONS of MMA. HOWEVER, DirectTV SUCKS ASS. I HATE IT. I wish I could switch back... but now I'm in an F'n contract and would have to pay $400 to terminate. Cable sucks... but DIRECTTV IS WORSE. I would trade away HDNet for our old crappy Comcast cable any day of the week if I did not have pay $400.00.
It started with them not disclosing several things...
*like the fact that they dont really offer 'FREE' On Demand like they advertised. It requires a $50 adapter kit.
*The morons who came and set up the dish and boxes didnt finish the job, and left thier trash everywhere scattered throughout the yard and house. We had to have another tech come out and finish setting everything up.
*I have had to call in three separate times to change my mailing address - which is different from my physical - they kept sending bills/etc to my physical... which does not always get mail properly - as result, we didnt recieve our first bill until a week after it was late.
*The 'special' pricing we were quoted was only available if we went online and filled out a rebate form - we were not informed
*charging us $5 customer service fee for calling in (and waiting 20min on hold) to ask whether or not the 1st PPV (Affliction Fight - first day I had Direct TV) I had ordered online (because you cannot order thier PPVs through the remote - WTF?) actually showed as being able to be watched (I had people coming over and I didnt want the surprise of it not playing when everyone showed up)... then
*charging us another $5 customer service fee for calling in because the movie my wife ordered online stopped playing for no reason 1/2 way through (2nd week we had the service).
*every channel is in freakin duplicate (HD and non HD) and when you set up something to record on the HD channel it may or may not record as we have found out multiple times.... sometimes even though it says a program is playing, it might nto actually air if it ends up not being in HD. Twice we programmed something to record, only to come home and find out nothing recorded. This does not score points with the wife when its her show, and I was the one that pushed to switch because I wanted HDNet which is not offered by Comcast.
I could keep going as this does not even include how much more cumbersome it is to search, find and set up recordings... which sadly is an important thing to have when there are two people using one television who have very different tastes.

Could be. I haven't seen the commercial but he's had some high-profile clients like Ray Lewis and some champion boxers.

It all seems petty... but it was all so much easier with Cable, it worked rigght and when it didnt work, they didnt charge us $5 for calling in.
