I can not wait to see this, the first one with Bale was awesome and Nolan did a great job as well. Thank God they got rid of Katie Holmes, she's not that good looking, she's a horrible actress and I hate Tom Cruise. I watched a special on the History channel the other night on the whole Batman saga, how the comic began and it went through the whole gammit of what the Bat Man is all about. I heard Heath Ledger steals the show in this movie.

Yeah, I'm hearing Oscar buzz for Ledger. Saying he topped Nicholson's Joker.

I love the new Batman series. I hated the old one... I like it dark and complex...

I heard Nicholson had a hard time coming out of character when he played the Joker. It got in his head and really messed him up. I don't know if the same thing happened to Ledgar but that was a real tragedy. I am very much looking forward to this movie. They really did a good job on Batman Begins and pumped a lot of life back into Batman movies. This one looks real good. Could be the best comic book movie ever. Which leads into a question of which are your favourite comic book movies? Mine:

Yes I'm really pumped about this one, I loved the original Batman, but these are completely different movies so it makes it great... The story I heard is that Heath Ledger was also having issues getting out of character and would call Jack Nicholson to see how he got out of it. The "theory" I've heard is Heath couldn't sleep and took some bad mix of sleeping pills and whatever other anti depressants he was on. It's unfortunate, he was a quality actor and even made overall mediocre movies not bad.

I havnt seen either Punisher movie yet or Ghost Rider.

It looks like Marvel is trying to get the hints out for an Avengers movie. They had Capt America's sheild in Iron Man (can see it on the table just after his first flight is done and he says "you've seen me in much worse positions" something like that to Potts. Sam L. Jackson is also at the end of the credits playing Nick Fury. I didnt see it as I left right when movie was done but there was dialog between Stark and Fury. Then Tony Stark is in the Incredible Hulk. There is also talk about the super soldier serum in Hulk and the original one is Capt Am blue, not green. Capt was supposed to be in the Hulk also but rumor is he got edited out but will be in the DVD. Capt, Thor and Ant Man are all supposed to get their own movies soon too so it will be cool to see how they do more cameo's with these ones.

I liked Blade movie also. I am really looking forward to the Wolverine movie coming out in May of 2009 though.

The Dark Knight is the best Comic Book movie.

Ledger's Joker performance was just plain haunting.

Watched Dark Knight yesterday. Has to be one of the top 5 movies I've ever seen. Amazing beginning to end. Loved it.

BTW, I looked up the Punisher on a couple of web sites and its ratings are really low. Are we talking about the John Travolta version? I'm renting it because it's highly recommended here but just wanted to make sure...

I have not seen either of the Punisher movies. I think everyone is recommending the second one. The first one had Travolta I think. Not sure about the second. He probably didnt live in the first one so don't think he would be in the next one. Just my guess though.

Oh, by the way phoenix, how can you say screw Spiderman but have Judge Dredd on your list???? Spiderman was an awesome movie. Not only because it was a good movie but it was the first time we have ever seen Spidy on the big screen. Anyone seen the original Hellboy...it was pretty good. Havnt seen the second one but its doing well in the theaters and seems like critics kinda like it. Dare Devil? Electra? Supeman Returns (sorry that one sucked)

I liked X2 because it had Nightcrawler. Excellent opening scene. X3 was ok but they could have done way more to that one. Beast was cool to see. Wolverine movie has Ryan Reynolds playing Deadpool...now thats good casting. Cant wait for that movie.

they made spiderman for kids, if it was darker and not bright and campy, i would enjoy it. i don't like tobey, kirsten dunst, spidey's aunt, mary jane. they take up too much screen time. it's not about them. and eric foreman as venom? wtf...and the scene in the second movie where he's holding the building forever talking to mary j saying "i love you" blah blah blah. the first one was decent. the tentacle man doc oc, i didn't care for him.

and judge dredd is awesome! i am the law! enjoyed that movie as a kid and still do!!

I was only talking about the first Spiderman... My daughter loves the Spectacular Spiderman cartoon(if thats the one you are referring to). I like it too. Very good artist.

Yeah...she loves spectacular spiderman. She likes batman and superman cartoons too. At the age of 5 I am getting her hooked on super heroes as I dont have a son...poor thing. (but she loves them so I'm cool with that)

Yeah...new superman cartoon and I would love to see a new X-Men cartoon. Not with them as kids like they tried to do a couple years back but like the one they had in the 80's? I think. That cartoon kicked arse. I love the X-Men.

I'm not looking forward to the dating scene with my 2 daughters. The oldest (5) I think is smart enough to not get into trouble with boys and the youngest (3) is tough enough to take care of herself. I'm a very protective father so I am Dredding the day they start dating. I'm going to be very grumpy old man.(with a gun)lol (I'm actually hoping one or both turn out to be lesbians...hows that for not wanting the dating scene to happen????)

Saw this last night, had to throw my 2 cents in...

I think the word "wow" will simply do it enough justice. Well done from start to finish. Heath Ledger somehow figured out for me to be disturbed by a character and at the same time find him hilarious. Christian Bale another great job as Batman. REALLY hope they come out with a 3rd one. Rumors say the riddler???

Just saw it for the second time, this time in IMAX. I have to say it was even better than the first time, hard to beat a 6 story screen and explosive digital sound. There's a reason this movie is breaking all sorts of records, in spite of one of it's leading stars dying and the other apparently assaulting his mom and sister. One of the few movies I've seen in quite a while that I could watch again and again...

WOW...300M in 10 days. Will Dark Knight surpass the all time box office leader???
