Kimbo Slice vs. Roy Nelson
This is rumor at this point but Sam Caplan at FiveOuncesofPain.com is saying that the idea has been floated to pit IFL heavyweight champ Roy Nelson against Kimbo Slice in an inter-promotional match-up if Slice wins this weekend.

This would be a nice pay day for Nelson! But would Kimbo's camp let him take a fight like this so soon?

That would be a nice fight to see. I remember his fight with Rothwell - split decision I think... he is tough and I would consider it a legit step up in competition level... still not a UFC calibur guy... but a step up from Thompson none-the-less.

Have you seen the belly on Nelson? If it were to go three rounds it would be Kimbo by Cardiac Arrest.
In 15 fights he has 2 decision losses. One of those guys “Ben Rothwell" is arguably the #10 HW in the world and you are questioning how good he is because of his gut? Oh my I would have to say after what I have seen guys do to Kimbo on youtube he would destroy Kimbo.

I was making light of how BIG of a guy Neson is... not exactly a demonstration of lean and mean such as a guy like Couture... even big Timmy has more 'abs' than that guy. But the dude is tough no doubt - that was a good close fight with Rothwell... but they were both GASSED hard at the end.
Besides, are you implying peoples fight-game can't improve once they start proper training? Well hell I think Lesnar should just quit now and go back to pro wrestling then.
Like I said... its a step up from Thompson, but not quite UFC calibur. Good next step if Kimbo pulls out a convincing win here.
I have to say he is a step up from a few of the guys in the UFC after what he did in his last fight.

i just interviewed Ben Rothwell today and asked him about this fight. I'll have the interview up in a day or two on Wisconsin Combat Sports but Rothwell said Nelson was going to crush Kimbo. That's a legitimate opinion from a top ten heavyweight who's fought Nelson.
I could've swore Roy Nelson was ringside near us, but it turned out to be Dodgers SP Brad Penny
